- Dinner with Data:

The AI Revolution in 2D and 3D Pathology-

MARCH 23rd

We are thrilled to gather pioneering minds for an engaging evening of cutting-edge discussions and delightful cuisine as we explore how artificial intelligence revolutionizes pathology.

Our keynote speaker, Andrew H. Song, PhD. Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, will lead the conversation and present how his pioneering work in weakly supervised machine learning is transforming predictive analytics for 2D and 3D pathology.

His research leverages computational techniques to analyze pathology samples with minimal labeled data, enabling scalable predictions of disease progression, as highlighted in his publications on prostate cancer (Cell 2024).

Dr. Song’s algorithms have demonstrated improved accuracy in identifying high-risk disease features, offering pathologists actionable insights without the need for extensive manual annotations.

Attendees will explore how his innovative methods are paving the way for smarter diagnostics and personalized treatment strategies.

Dr. Andrew Song is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School, working with Professor Faisal Mahmood in the AI for Pathology group.

His current research focuses on developing efficient and interpretable AI-based frameworks for 3D computational pathology toward more accurate patient diagnosis, using images from diverse 3D imaging modalities such as OTLS and microCT.

Prior to this, he received his Ph.D. from MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), co-advised by Professors Emery N. Brown (MIT) and Demba Ba (Harvard), working at the intersection of neuroscience and biomedical signal processing.
